Financial Aid
FAFSA should open December 1st for all seniors in the graduating class of 2026
FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
All graduating seniors and their parents need to complete this form
You will need to create an account and get an FSA ID before you can submit the form
There is help available if you have special circumstances (who is my parent) (eligible and non-eligible non citizens)
Not sure which parent needs to complete the FAFSA? Use this quiz
Choose up to 20 colleges who will get your information
Check the Priority Deadline for Financial Aid at the colleges you could attend and communicate directly to make sure they have everything they need to generate a financial aid offer. Financial aid offers may include grants, scholarships, work studies or loans.
To complete the form:
1. Get an FSA ID and collect the necessary financial information.
2. Students and parents should each complete a FAFSA form
3. Finally, look for a confirmation email with your Student Aid Index (SAI) and show it to Ms. Feldbush (she has candy bars for finishers)
CSS Profile
Some schools also require the CSS Profile which is a similar form offered by the College Board (it is free for low income families)
This form is used to award non federal money from institutions
It does not link to your tax returns automatically like the FAFSA and so you will need to upload supporting documents
